Hi. I'm Stephen. I work with everything from pop songs to popular brands. From custom music to licensing and anything in between, my ears are always glued to a pair of speakers and my hands always tied up in a mountain of musical instruments. Top to bottom. Front to back. Writing to recording. Mixing to mastering. I can make it happen. Fast.

I'm a listener. I can't help myself. Whether it's the masterful melodies of Tin Pan Alley's greatest tunesmiths or the modern day artisans responsible for the sparkling sheen behind pop's biggest tunes, I'm fascinated by the miniature lessons in composition, arrangement, and tonal integrity that are baked into the structure of every popular song, film score, and musical minutiae.
It's there that I spend my off hours. Studying the wealth of musical knowledge across genres, decades, and production styles. So whether I'm working in Advertisement, where the marriage of sound and visual are of utmost important, or working with artists, exploring every sonic nook and cranny, I'm harnessing those moments of study. I'm listening -- to my own work, to the direction of the piece, and - most importantly - to what the song commands of me.
I'm of the opinion that you can't move forward in musical movements without a deep respect for the past. But that school of thought doesn't give rise to the exciting shifts in popular song that shake popular culture to its core. There's a certain brand of deeply respectful irreverence towards traditional methods that's necessary. To break the rules effectively, you ought to be an expert in the tradition.
Let's break those rules together.
